Students took a test over 1/2 the lit. unit. We will have the other part next Tuesday. The homework assignment is to study the stories on your list, through "Flowers for Algernon," and study for the vocab. quiz on Monday over Unit 20.

Tuesday, March 16
Students went over terms from the literature unit we've been covering. (The first part of the test on Thursday will cover the literature terms and the stories from "The Medicine Bag" to "The Wise Old Woman" on the list of stories from the unit.) Everyone needs to study for the test on Thursday!
*The second part of the test will be on Tuesday next week and will cover the stories on the list from "The Elevator" to "Flowers for Algernon."

Monday, March 15
Students went over the vocab. for next Monday's quiz, Unit 20. (There's no school on Friday.) Students briefly discussed the two articles. There will be a test on Thursday. Students were given a list today of the stories that will be covered on the test over the unit and the terms from the unit.
Wednesday, March 10
Students wrote a brief explanation of the difference in the scope of the two articles that were assigned for today. After they finished, they worked in small groups on the questions over the articles on p. 413. The homework assignment is to make sure you have read all of the stories that have been assigned. Take your literature book home!!! There will be a test next week over the unit.
Tuesday, March 9
Students discussed the two folk tales and their themes, along with the terms folk tale and fiction/nonfiction. The homework assignment is to read the two articles starting on p. 398 (through p. 412) about the San Francisco earthquake and Hurricane Katrina.
